Detailed Description
  • Decoration:
    Titles on the top of the pages alternating in red and blue colours. Initials are ornamented with pictures.
  • Layout:
    Text is mainly set in 2 columns. Through the glosses there are sometimes 4 or even 6 columns.



    The Greek-Latin translation of the text is in the middle of the folio, whilst the Arabic-Latin versions of the text and the glosses by Averroes and Albert the Great are in the margins.
  • Hand Description:
    The code is worked out by a lot of French hands in a very similar way.
  • Provenance:
    On the postfolio some hand from the 13th century wrote: "Est liber hic sancti Martini Lovaniensis". And again: "Ego Johannes Voisyn, recepi istum librum ab executoribus... Britonis, pro nomine Domini Petri..., presentibus commendatore de Champaignes et domino Johanne May, domino Ludovico Guiart et Johanne Sennart. Actum anno Domini M.CCCC.XXIII, die XII° mensis junii."
