Detailed Description
  • Collation:
    A composite manuscript out of three codicological sections: section 1 (ff. 2r- 109v ) dates from the late 13th century , section 2 (ff. 110r- 119v ) and 3 (ff. 120r- 198v ) from the beginning of the 14th century .
  • Decoration:
    In section 1, the titles are given in minium or black at the top of the pages. In section 3, the title ("Meth.") is given in red and blue at the top of the pages. In section 1 he larger initials are coloured in red and blue, entwined and elongated with lines. The other, smaller ones are in alternating red and blue. None of the initials within the lines in minium are ornated. Section 2 has initials alternating in red and blue, entwined with lines in violet or red. Section 3 has initials in red and blue, entwined and elongated with lines, the larger ones ornated with leaves around the page. In section 1 and 2, the paragraphs are signed in alternating red and blue.
  • Layout:
    Text in section 1 is set in two columns.



    F. 119v is without script.
  • Hand Description:
    Text in section 1 is written by many librarians.
  • Provenance:
    On f. 2r one can find an ex libris from the 16th - 17th century : "ff. Minorum Recollectorum conventus Balmetae catalogo inscriptus".
    The flyleaf I contains a signature: "n° 354".
