Detailed Description
  • Decoration:
    On ff. 1r- 96v titles in red are painted on the top of the pages. On the first folios one can find the words "nova t." in the beginning of the right column, and "a.t." in the beginning of the left column. In the margins somebody wrote: Aweroys and Albertus to the paragraphs of each commentator. Spaces for initials left free everywhere.
  • Layout:
    Text is set in 2 columns.



    The right column has the Greek-Latin translation of the Aristotelian text, while the left column hands down the Arabic-Latin translation. Then follow paragraphs with the text of Averroes and written in the same way the commentary of Albert the Great .
  • Hand Description:
    A lot of librarians worked on the code, their origin is French and German.
  • Provenance:
    On f. 1r some hand from the 13th or 14th century wrote: "Iste liber est sancti Petri Apostoli in superiori Altach".
