Contemporary foiling (recto in black, verso in red up to f. 26v , partly crossed out), alongside that of the 19th century counting correctly.
  • Collation:
Layer: 2 VI24 + IV32 + V42 + 3 IV66. An old back cover, once counted as folio 66. Reclamer at the end of each layer, on the bottom right of the page.
  • Decoration:
On ff. 56v 57r tables, ff. 59v 60r text figures (triangles). Rubricated in red up to f. 27v , Lombards (2–3 lines tall) red and blue (occasionally in part I, alternately in II). Initial f. 1r (5 lines, gold with red and blue decoration), larger lombards red/blue f. 43r , 61v
  • Layout:
Text is set in two columns. In the first part of the manuscript (I ff. 1r - 42v ) 54 lines to the page. In the second part of the manuscript (II ff. 43r - 65v ) 72 lines to the page. Written space on the page: 225-150mm.
  • Hand Description:
At least three hands. In part I a round, gothic minuscule, maybe Italian. In part II at least two very delicate hands.
  • Binding Description:
Beige half leather binding (contemporary). Edges beveled. Paper sign at the top with a table of contents (Tractatus Iohannis de Sancto Amando super antidotarium Nicolai, 1 ... Item medicine Zenonis .64.), probably contemporary; then in ink the information p.83 n.23, which does not seem to refer to Reiser. Underneath another paper sign (50 x 40mm), on it two intertwined D's in red ink, underneath the number 6 (old signature: DD 6?). Traces of a clasp and a chain eyelet at the back.
  • Acquisition:
Probably written in Italy. Price indication inside front: Pro tribus florenis. — Neither to be found in EHINGER nor in REISER, unless one accepts the designation Jatro-mathematica, Reiser p.83 no.23. The type of chain attachment on the back cover indicates early possession of the Stadtbibliothek Augsburg.
