Detailed Description
  • Collation:
    Together with Fragment 1 (still within Cologne, Stadtarchiv, GB 4° 195, Miscellany), this fragment constituted the outer double page of a quaternion.
  • Condition Description:
    This fragment is originally from the back side of the old binding of the codex GB 4° 195, but now a separate document (identification of the Kölner Stadtarchiv : "7050F 6"). It received medium-heavy damage in the collapse of the archive building in 2009. The damage was classified as category A (the original is still usable). There is no available microfilm of the fragment.

    The text is rubricated, having red initial letters.
  • Acquisition:
    The fragment is on a permanent loan from the Kölner Gymnasial- und Stiftungsfonds .

    This is the last part (from the middle of chapter 4 to the end) of a De Substantia Orbis fragment. The complementary first part can be found in Fragment 1 (just the first part of chapter 1), still within the original codex GB 4° 195. This last part has a subscript: "Explicit liber commentatoris de substantia orbis scriptus ... anno domini 1334 ".
