  • Pages: 205 leaves
  • Leaves Format: not available
  • Dimensions: 300 x 220 mm

Detailed Description
  • Decoration:
Titles at the top of the pages given in red and blue letters, alternating. Large initial letters decorated with golden and colourful pictures. Plant, animals and anthropomorphic motifs. Blue and red vignettes.
  • Layout:
Text is set in two columns.

Main text and commentary differ in letter width. Textus have bolder letters then the paragraphs of the commentary.
  • Hand Description:
    Manuscript done by many scribes.
  • Binding Description:
Parchment. No bookplate has survived. Two visible perforations on the upper flat. Six back nerves. Spine title in ink: "Metaphysica Aristotelis ". On the upper counterguard a separate brand chain resulting in perforation of the binding and rust stains.
  • Provenance:
Once the manuscript was Sorbona, 935. It seems that this manuscript has entered the house after 1338 because the college's catalog does not mention it. On the other hand, it is difficult to say whether the code is quoted in the Methodical Directory. The code Q.g of the Methodical Directory might correspond to the manuscript. Stamps of the Bibliothèque de Sorbonne : F. 1r , f. 120r . Stamps of the Bibliothèque impériale : F. 176r ; f. 178r . Stamps of the Bibliothèque nationale de France : f. 1r ; 204v .
