  • Acquisition:
    This collection was acquired by Princeton University Library in 1942 . This acquisition was possible thanks to two graduates of Princeton: Robert Garrett (Class of 1897 ) and his brother John W. Garrett (Class of 1895 ). A short account of this acquisition is given in the article of Philip K. Hitty . However, Princeton did not acquire the entire Yahuda -Collection of Islamic manuscripts. More details on the fate of this collection are described in the introduction of Mach 's catalogue (p. vii) .
