    One hand, carefully written in Ruqʻah, no scribe named
    Serifless and freely ligatured with slight effect of inclination toward the right, pointing somewhat careless and in strokes rather than distinct dots
  • Binding Description:
    Boards covered in dark green cloth with dark green leather over spine (quarter binding), spine gold-stamped with title and decorative accents over raised bands (تلخيص | فلسفة ارسطو | الاندلسي | J.H.D.), pastedowns and flyleaves in wove paper , printed with a floral vegetal pattern in green, stuck-on endbands (blue and white stripe), (probably bound for James Heyworth-Dunne ).

    Manuscript acquired by the University Library in 1950 or in 1951
  • Provenance:
    The manuscript was formerly part of the personal collection of James Heyworth-Dunne (died 1974 ), a senior reader in Arabic at the SOAS in London from 1928 to 1948 , who thereafter became a member of the staff at the Middle East Institute in Washington, D.C.
