  • Pages: ca. 200 leaves
  • Leaves Format: not available
  • Dimensions: 160 x 220 mm

Detailed Description
  • Foliation:
    not numbered
  • Collation:
Parts of originally two manuscripts were bound together.
  • Hand Description:
Two hands; the part of the Tahāfut al-tahāfut was bound together with parts of another manuscript.
Tahāfut al-tahāfut: The manuscript is written in Taʿlīq script (elegant calligraphy), body of text: 76 x 175 mm, 25 lines to the page.
The name of the scribe is not given explicitly; sometimes he signs as " Asʿad " - maybe he can be identified with a certain اسعد بن على بن عثمان اليانيوى (d. 1730-1 (1143 h.) ) who showed some interest in Aristotle 's philosophy. It seems as if this manuscript which has been constantly corrected and completed, was not intended for sale but for individual study purpose.
