  • Foliation:
    Recent foliation with a pencil in the corner, right corner of recto-folio.
  • Collation:
    I-II^8 (cf. ff. 1r- 16v ) III-IX^10 (cf. ff. 17r- 86v ) X^6 (cf. ff. 87r- 92v ) XI-XIII^8 (cf. ff. 93r- 116v ) XIV^2 (cf. ff. 117r- 118v ) In quinternions. The marks of the Collation are written in the upper right corner of the recto-folio in the first half of the manuscript. The writer used mainly red ink, but also blue or brown, and not consistent but in the most cases followed by Roman numbers.
  • Decoration:
    Beautifully ornated initials on ff. 1r , 18v , 33r , 49r , 70v and 76r . The decoration of this manuscript was made by a painter that used a lot of red ink. It shows four medical figures, one about the usual work of uroscopy. In addition there is a letter decorated on f. 7r .
  • Layout:
    The text is set in two columns.

    About 50 written lines per page.
    No script on ff. 92r- 92v and 118v .
    The cover insides are folios from a manuscript by the hand of the copist Johannes Maguntinus.
  • Hand Description:
    A lot of hands worked on the manuscript: Mainly a Gothic textualis handwriting of two hands namely A (ff. 1r- 91v ): in brown ink with filigree initial letters on the beginning of each paragraph alternation in blue and red ink. B (ff. 93r- 118r ): in brown ink also with initial letters on each paragraph in red and blue alternating, but also with titles in red ink.
  • Binding Description:
    Wooden binding. Metallic elements. The binding was restored.
  • Provenance:
    The manuscript once was property of Giovanni di Marco . On f. 118r an antique signature: "5E". Also signatures in brown and red ink on the frontcover inside: "Il°Fila, / V°Pluteo/ V°" in historical order.
